Steve Vannort’s open-weave webs of light-filled      
abstractions are haunting and evocative. Architectural
in implication, autobiographical in intonations, they are
neither “mirrors” nor “window” to external worlds but
rather metaphorically concrete “portraits”- passages to
      places and sense known and recaptured...
